Just imagine trying to come up with some lyrics with two of the world's biggest music stars standing next to you. That was the situation J.Cole found himself in when he collaborated on the track A Star Is Born with hip-hop supremo Jay-Z.
"It was him and Beyonce when I had to write that verse. She left the room and a little while later he finally left and I was like 'phew!.... let me finish writing this verse'," said J. Cole.
The 25-year-old rapper was the first artist signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. As a result he has spent time hanging out with the US mogul and his wife and insists they are completely down to earth despite their fame.
"They are really regular people. You'd be surprised," he said.
Camp Jay-Z have their latest protege well trained though. He refused to spill the beans on any rumours about the glamourous pair, including if and when they are planning to have children.
"I don't know, you're going to have to ask them," was all Mr Cole would say.
