Jean-François Daber is the leading company for the production of top-of-the-range French bows. The company was founded by Jean Schmitt in 1981. It is now headed by Vincent Tricou and Gilles Saurais. Vincent and Gilles aim to help the world's finest performers - violinists, violists and cellists - to express their deepest artistic feelings and also to get the best out of their instruments. We make bows for all levels of musical performance. Our four categories accompany and stimulate the progress of musicians from the earliest stages until the acquirement of complete mastery of the instrument at solist level.
