Football-playing dolphins entertain World Cup fans

Visitors to South Africa's third city Durban are being entertained by a troupe of football-playing dolphins.

The city's Shaka Sea World centre has got into the spirit of the World Cup, with the trainers encouraging the animals to learn some ball skills.

The star of the show is Gambit, a dolphin who can score goals with his head as well as a slap of his tail.

Head dolphin trainer Sarah Janssen: "Obviously everyone is very excited about the World Cup coming to South Africa.

"And we thought we would give the foreigners that are visiting us everyday during the World Cup a little insight into our dolphin family and show them that even the dolphins can play soccer and also score a few goals just like Gambit did."
