Effective performance monitoring of cloud services requires a set of technology capabilities that are different than what organizations already have in place for managing legacy environments. Monitoring key performance metrics such as service availability, response times, SLA achievements and time between failures in cloud environments requires technology capabilities that go beyond tools offered by cloud providers. In order to ensure optimal speed and availability to cloud services, organizations needs to deploy technology solutions that would allow them to keep their cloud providers “honest” and have full visibility into the quality of experience for end-users of these services.
