My métro ride home from the TESOL conference in Paris on May 29, 2010 was a noisy surprise! Wild spontaneous party, with homegrown cherries being passed out free to the bewildered riders, and drinks -- "le petit jaune" (Ricard!) of course! Just a rather typical Saturday evening in Paris, France, folks! Saint-Denis is home to the magnificent Stade de France, and although our taxes are through the roof (sigh!) it brings us lots of activity -- much of it rather annoying, frankly! I know residents around the Stadium who cannot even get home to park their own cars in their expensive private parking spaces, when they try to get back home!
