Diff'rent Strokes star Gary Coleman has died, according to media reports. He had been on life support in a Utah hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage earlier this week.
Coleman, 42, was hospitalised on Wednesday (May 25) after suffering an intracranial haemorrhage at his home in Utah, and the following day he was "conscious and lucid" before his condition worsened.
Coleman is best known for his stint on Diff'rent Strokes, which aired from 1978 to 1986. He moved to Utah in 2005 to star in the movie Church Ball, a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He met his wife Shannon Price on the movie set and married her in 2007.
Coleman has a history of health problems. He recently had heart surgery complicated by pneumonia, and in February, he also suffered a seizure on the set of The Insider.
In February, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour criminal mischief charge related to an April 2009 domestic violence incident at his home.
