In a world were media player phones seem to be getting ever bigger, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz landed on my desk like a breath of fresh air. It’s small enough to comfortably fit in the palm of your hand but still manages to include a 3.2in touchscreen. The cost of this is that there are just three buttons at the bottom of the phone for starting and ending calls and entering the menu. The on-screen keyboard works well enough, although it’s best used with the phone held in landscape orientation rather than portrait as this lets you use a Qwerty layout.
