Celebs lose their 'followers' due to Twitter bug

Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Demi Moore and P Diddy have found themselves with no friends on Twitter after a bug wiped their list of "followers."

It happened after a loophole allowed people to hack into celebrity accounts meaning many were forced to follow complete strangers.

In an effort to clear up the bug, the social networking site had to temporarily reset many accounts making it appear as though the users had no followers.

However during the clean up process, celebrities were still able to post messages and tweet their unrest. Ashton Kutcher said: "Twitter is being hacked! I have 0 followers."

His wife Demi Moore added: "The hacker is really doing a number on Twitter now!" with Kim Kardashian writing: "Someone hacked my account and direct messaged me! They have added over 200 new people. Ughhhh."

Twitter resolved the problem within two hours.
