A shoplifter was caught stealing a book in a comic book store by none other than Spiderman.
On International Free Comic day Monday, the brazen thief took the "Free Day" a little too literally, but fortunately the owner of the store, dressed as Spiderman managed to nab the robber while a few other superheroes and a couple of Jedis kept watch.
[Michael Baulderstone, Comic Book Store Owner]:
"I called to the Jedi to hold the door, the Flash kept the things running, Spider kept an eye on the thief till the cops came. It was a team effort."
Baulderstone was dressed up as Spiderman in the spirit of International Free Comic day.
The thief was trying to steel a copy of "Astonishing X-MEN" worth more than a hundred dollars and was obviously not aware of one of Spiderman's many abilities.
[Michael Baulderstone, Comic Book Store Owner]:
"But in that case I got to say my 'spider-sense' was tingling."
Luckily for the shoplifter, Spiderman didn't use all his special powers and he escaped from being tangled up in Spidey's web.
