A video of Queen Elizabeth II aged just four years old has been released ahead of the opening of a new exhibition at Windsor Castle.

Taken at the studio of child photography Marcus Adams, the video shows the then Princess Elizabeth being entertained before a photo shoot in January 1931.

The young Princess is seen giggling as Mr Adams places coins on his forehead and nose to amuse her.

He was the Royal Photographer between 1926 and 1956, taking photos of two generations of Royal children.

This is being released to coincide with a new publication and exhibition at Windsor Castle, Marcus Adams: Royal Photographer, which opens from Saturday.
