Police were called to N-Dubz's tour bus over the weekend after complaints that Dappy was firing a toy paintball gun at fans.
The incident happened at the O2 Academy in Newcastle on Saturday night just before the 22-year-old was due to go on stage with his bandmates Tulisa and Fazer.
According to reports Dappy, whose real name is Dino Contostavlos, was messing around with a crew member from the tour when the incident happened.
Aggitated fans then called the police who confiscated the toy paintball guns and gave 'words of advice' to the hip-hop star.
Northumbria Police confirmed: "We were called to the court car park at the rear of the 02 Academy on Saturday following complaints pellets were being fired from a coach at the location.
Officers spoke to two persons who had been firing plastic toy guns at each other which discharged small 6mm pellets."
They added: "The pair responsible were very apologetic and handed the toy guns to police voluntarily. There were no injuries and words of advice were given."
