Former England football star Paul Gascoigne has been charged with drink-driving.
The former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was arrested last month after an incident at a takeaway in Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire.
42-year-old Gazza retired from football in 2004.
He has fought a well-publicised battle with alcoholism and mental illness in recent years.
He will appear at Northallerton Magistrates' Court on April 16.
