The “Pro Life Movement” held a march in Prague to oppose abortion laws in the Czech Republic, which are some of the most liberal of its kind in Europe.

[Michal Sloup, March Participant]: male, Czech
“We are here to support the rights of unborn babies.”

One of the movement supporters, Eva Capova, underwent abortion many years ago and talks about her experience.

[Eva Capova, March Participant]: female, Czech
“I had a terrible state of anxiety, but I accredited it to some other things, for example, the fact I was there alone. I found out that I had not come to terms with the abortion only when I decided to confess. So, until that time it was something in the back of my conscience that I never talked about.”

According to the pro life movement, abortion is killing of an unborn baby which march participants expressed by carrying white crosses in their hands.

[Libor Halík, Priest]: male, Czech
“Abortion is carried out in the way that little arms, legs and then head are torn off the baby’s body, and the baby is dying in such pain.”

A group of leftist activists completely disagree with this statement, and were outraged by the march.

[Dima Salibova, Pro Life Opponent]: female, Czech
“In the third month the baby is not well-developed, its feelings are not developed and so on, so it’s definitely is not murder.”

On average, 115,000 abortions are carried out every day in the world.
