The Society was formed in the fall of 2008 as a response to the horrendous circumstances that many orphans are facing in Zimbabwe and built on the work of Susan and Frank Janetti and their Project Gecko. The Society became a recognized non-profit organization in January, 2009 and held it's first fundraiser in March, 2009.
