Toshiba talks with us about some of their new products: The Toshiba Protege R400 has Microsoft Vista installed for it's operating system, and along with that they built in Active Notifications into the laptop. They are the first manufacturer to incorporate Active Notifications. With Active Notifications, when the R400 is in sleep mode or awake, you can still get notifications about new email and calendar events. Toshiba's port replicator allows you to stream wirelessly audio and video from your PC to the port replicator. The port replicator then has a monitor and speakers connected to it on which you can watch the streamed audio and video. What this essentially allows you to do is get rid of the "dock" for your laptop. You can interact with your laptop using the port replicator.
