On Thursday, the Indian Air Force conducted a drill at the Chandan Air-to-Air Range in northern Rajasthan.

[P.S. Prabhu, Indian Air Force Chief]:
"One should be fully prepared for the war be it during night or day. We wanted to exhibit our fire power for the general public so that they are aware of it also and we are showing it through your (the media) medium to the country."

In the air were fighter jets, transport aircrafts, and helicopters.

In addition to the 65 aircraft participating, 30 standby aircraft in the air and an equal number on the ground will make it one of the biggest participation by the Indian Air Force.

The firepower demonstration is a display of skills and accuracy in weapon delivery by pilots at the end of their training year.

The exercise also helps commanders to better gauge the potential and deployment capabilities of aerial weapons.

Other attractions include an air show and stunts by a skydiving team.
