The European Union intervention brought in approximately 97 million euros to support polio eradication and routine immunisation across Nigeria.
In June 2009, the EU- PRIME project packed its bags and left after four years in which Kebbis immunisation rate increased from 1.7% to 77% - the highest success rate in the whole of Nigeria.
