Sen. Murkowski: Obama's Conflicting Energy Policy

2010-02-12 11

2/11/10 Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski speaking from the Senate floor, criticized President Obama's budget requests for not matching up with the energy priorities he laid out in his State of the Union address, such as nuclear and new oil and natural gas development. Sen. Murkowski also said the president is calling on Congress to pass a climate bill, but at the same time requesting more than $41 millions for EPA to implement its own greenhouse gas regulations. She says that means Congress will spend less time debating cap and trade or a carbon tax... And more time talking about what she says would be a harmful move by the EPA.
