Will To Live
By Reid Baer
Is it universally true
or just individually
necessary for me to will
this moment in reality?
both and forward backward like a
loose leaf blown around and through a
simple world by my mortal time
with me as complex as ever
found forever at one thing in
sight: a respite from my many
refined intellectual tricks.
I command and I obey and
yet somewhere something else – a real
strong sensation – joins in the mix.
