Do college educated students buy new more than used? Does a four-year college grad put more money down on their purchase than a two-year degree? Are less Stanford graduates buying Chevrolets and other domestic cars and trucks than those who go school closer to a home like Dearborn MI? A string of questions, a string of answers, and what did they conclude from their findings? While obviously, most of their buyers were local customers who were born in Dearborn’s surrounding areas and went to school within 500 miles of the area they purchased from, the amount of schooling really had no relevant effect on how much was paid down versus financed. Incidentally, the number of years the purchaser attended school, more often than not did effect the amount of features their vehicle had and the value of the purchased car truck or SUV. There were less ivy league schools like Stanford graduates who were driving Chevrolets in Dearborn MI, but that makes sense since there are more 2 and four year degrees rather than doctorates.
