SAUSALITO, Calif. -- Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Arlo Ciencia, the food service officer of Station Golden Gate, won the 2009 Ringside World Boxing Championship, held in Kansas City, Mo., August 8, 2009. Ciencia, a native of Davado City, Philippines, competed against six other fighters from across America to become the 119 lb Novice Ringside World Champion, winning all fights by decision and earning the title belt.
