Lets kick-off with a little about the resort, Tignes encompasses five villages: Val Claret, Le Lac, Le Lavachet, Les Boisses and Les Brévières. The first three, located in a bowl at the base of the main ski area, are small clusters of ugly apartment blocks with shops and restaurants on the ground floor, which were built after the old town of Tignes was flooded during the construction of the Chevril dam in 1952. The last two are small communities below the main resort, linked by lift to the ski area. A free bus service runs between all five villages until midnight. ski failed submissions for some sites.
