Imagine being held captive in your own body with no way out. Imagine becoming someone else you don't recognise. Imagine becoming mute. Imagine something stealing your loved one. It is like the person has died, but you can still see them. This is not Alzheimer's Disease. This is Fronto-Temporal Dementia (FTD), a disease that affects younger adults under the age of 60, even as young as 21. There is no known cure and the life-span is 8-10years. If I Could Talk I’d Tell You is a short documentary that aims to break the silence of the world of FDT, a series of portraits presented as poignant and emotional vignettes, which offer personal insights into the hidden lives of the carers, the destructive and often solitary world of FDT.
