Wholesale deforestation has made the rainiest place on Earth a "cold desert" for eight months of the year. Pursuing his birthright as forest guardian in Meghalaya, India, global citizen Bremley Lyngdoh plans to reforest the area and restore the water table.
But efforts to empower his people and heal his desecrated homeland clash with government plans to mine for weapons-grade uranium. Can Bremley convince landowners that his sustainable alternatives are both viable and vital, or will government and corporations win out once more?
