In 1978 he attended Equinox disc. In 1981 was launched Les Chants Magnétiques (in English, Magnetic Fields). Two years later, created Jarre Musique pour Supermarché in a single copy. The following year, launched Zoolook disc.
In 1986 came the album rendez-vous. In that year, Jarre held a concert in Houston Extraordinary which was planned for the astronaut Ronald McNair. It wanted it to play saxophone in the direct space ship Challenger, plans were abandoned because McNair died in the Challenger explosion in January. The concert in Houston came in Book of Records, with an audience of over 1.5 million spectators.
