a film to present my MA fashion collection PANKALIA from Designskolen Kolding, DK.
PANKALIA
The inspiration for this project is everyday life (Danish: ”hverdagen”). Sometimes everyday life can seem boring, trivial and ordinary.
This project has its references in western clothing icons such as jeans, trench coat, t-shirt etc. The intention and vision for this collection is to redesign recognizable clothing icons known from everyday life and to twist the perception of how we normally look at these objects. By splitting up the icons and re-creating them, I hope it makes the viewer “wake up” and see the beauty in the simple, recognizable and known.
