CSXT loaded coal

2009-07-14 53

A CSXT loaded coal train finally heads east with an SD70MAC and an ES44DC for power. This was our first train in 2 hours and 40 minutes. The K5LAR24 horn is somewhat fouled, but still sounds good. This train was a more unusual one: a unit train of aluminum bethgon coalporters! The ones with the green on the side were marked TILX (Tilex), while the ones with the purple on the side were marked JAIX (Jake's) They were so quiet as they rolled past at what I'm estimating to be 25 miles per hour. You can also hear the horn in the distance sounding off for Lightfoot Road. Very pretty train!
