A loaded coal train heads east in the evening light with some great power: A double EMD Spartan Cab lashup, consisting of an SD70 and an SD60. I did not expect this at all, but this is awesome, no POS widecabs on this bad boy! Very nice K5LAR24 horn on the lead unit as well. This train held up the intersection for about five minutes.
As the last Top Gon cleared the grade crossing, something caught my eye on the cantilever block signals. The opposing track had an "Approach Medium" indication, which indicated that a westbound was on the way.
