One day before the actual beginning of the summit in Italy and on the occasion of the arrival of the G8-leaders, a demonstration in Rome took place. About 1.000 participators of various social and political movements wanted to draw the attention on the massive social problems as well as the violation of human rights that occur all over the world. In general they were protesting against the system of the "Great 8", that makes this small group the leaders of the world.
