“Pacific Electric” is a Jazz record written and recorded by L.A. session keyboardist Jon Hartmann, featuring guitar legend Sid Jacobs. The record is dedicated to the memory of the railway, its impact on the formation of Los Angeles, and the crimes committed in order to remove it from history. Rounding out the roster is Dave Price, sax; Lynn Woolever, bass; Larry Williams, trumpet; Jack Lees, drums & percussion and Ron Hershewe & Tony Pretzello playing additional guitar parts. Jon wrote the tunes and was responsible for recording, mixing and mastering. Also aiding in the project were Michael Rosen in charge of graphics and layout, and Joe DuPuis, who did the oil painting that was the basis for the cover artwork.
