More at http://www.theuptake.org Vice President Joe Biden comments in front of a gathering of law enforcement officials who today endorsed Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the US Supreme Court. The Vice President, who served 37-years on the Senate Judiciary Committee which hears Supreme Court nominations, said it is "exceptional" that so many of the law enforcement community were endorsing Sotomayor. Biden also said law enforcement endorsement should put to rest "ridiculous" claims Sotomayor is not a law and order judge. "When you did your job, she did hers" and criminals put behind bars said Biden about Sotomayor's early experience as a criminal prosecutor. Since then, Biden added, Sotomayor "has not changed her tough stance" on prosecuting crime.
