Making his second appearance at the Hyatt in MMA action, local hometown favorite and EliteMMA-trained Charles Dera went up against Yussef Lewis premiering in his pro debut. This was a stand-up battle, as fighters exchanged kicks and punches for the duration of 3 rounds. The action waned through the three rounds, but there were solid shots thrown by both combatants. In the closing seconds of the third round, Dera unleashed a flurry of strikes that sent Lewis reeling across the ring that fired up the crowd. The judges awarded Dera with the decision.
