Speaking at an event on Wednesday (Feb 26), Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said cancer is the third leading cause of premature deaths in the country.
According to him, Malaysia recorded over a total of 248,207 cancer cases from 2017 to 2023, with cancer deaths rising from 12.6% in 2022 to 13.8% in 2023.
