The Ansar (اعوان قوم) were the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who helped him and the early Muslim community in Medina. They were from the tribes of Aus and Khazraj.
As for whether Zakat and Sadaqah can be given to the Ansar's descendants, the general principle in Islam is that Zakat and Sadaqah should be given to those who are eligible and in need, regardless of their lineage or ancestry.
However, it is worth noting that the Ansar's descendants are not automatically entitled to receive Zakat and Sadaqah simply because of their lineage. Rather, they must meet the same criteria as anyone else, such as being in need and not having sufficient means to support themselves.
