The 2019 ban preventing controversial preacher Dr. Zakir Naik from delivering public talks is no longer in effect, says Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Responding to a question from RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Feb 20) about whether the ban had been lifted following Naik's recent talk in Perlis, Saifuddin clarified that the restriction was imposed in 2019 while authorities investigated two statements he had made.
