All star cast put togther by producer Derek Lawrence. The album was recorded out of a pair all day recording in 1970, with later string and brass overdubs. The 9 musicians involved were Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Paice from Deep Purple, Tony Ashton, Matthew Fisher from Procol Harum, Albert Lee, Big Jim Sullivan, Chas Hodge, Earl Jordan and Rod Alexander. For contractual resons all the musicians involved were listed under pseudonyms. The album is compsed of covers of blues-rock.
