The majority of the UK remains under cloud for this afternoon period, with western Scotland receiving the most breaks in the cloud. Rain continues to be brought in from the east, with sleet possible across much of the east of the UK and hill snow in hilly areas. Drier in western parts of the UK but with the odd shower possible. A frontal system will also bring further outbreaks of rain to the southeast of England.
