Wai Yee Hong Chinese Supermarket at Eastgate Oriental City Complex celebrated the Lunar (Chinese) New year today (February 1) with an array of performances and food markets.
The free event started over 30 years ago at Wai Yee Hong’s small shop on Station Road and now raises thousands of pounds for The Grand Appeal.
This year’s Lunar (Chinese) New Year event included performances from Jodie Tang Cooper, PUMA Martial Arts and UWE K-Pop, and the iconic traditional lion dances.
