The police will review several criminal laws to ensure they remain relevant to current times.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain told a special media briefing on Monday (Jan 27) that the police operate strictly within the boundaries of the law.
He proposed reviewing outdated laws this year to elevate them to the ministerial level and enhance their effectiveness.
