President Donald Trump on Tuesday expressed openness to the possibility of Tesla CEO Elon Musk or Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison purchasing TikTok during a press briefing. Trump suggested TikTok could be valued at $1 trillion with a U.S. operating permit but would be worthless without one. Analysts have valued TikTok’s U.S. business at approximately $50 billion. Trump's comments come after he signed an executive order giving ByteDance 75 days to sell TikTok to avoid penalties under a national security law.
