SpaceX conducted the seventh test flight of its Starship rocket Thursday, launching from its Starbase facility in Texas. The rocket's Super Heavy booster successfully returned to land, marking the company's second successful catch of the booster. Communication with the Starship upper stage was lost about nine minutes into the flight, and SpaceX later confirmed the rocket broke apart during its ascent burn. Starship carried ten Starlink simulators to test the rocket’s payload deployment capabilities, a key milestone for future missions. The rocket, designed to be fully reusable, is vital for deploying the next generation of Starlink satellites and NASA’s Artemis moon program.
