Hundreds rock and roll at Australia’s iconic Elvis festival parade
Wearing lacquered wigs, bedazzled jumpsuits and marine-inspired outfits, hundreds took to the streets of Australian country town Parkes on Saturday, January 11, to parade in classic cars, decorated floats and on foot to celebrate Elvis Presley’s film 'Easy Come Easy Go.’
In the 1967 film, Elvis balances his time between being a deep sea diver and nightclub singer.
The parade — with this year's marine theme — is a highlight of the five-day Parkes Elvis Festival, held annually to celebrate Elvis’ birthday on January 8.
