The Federal Government has assured Penangites that the expansion of the Penang International Airport (PIA) and the Juru-Sungai Dua elevated highway project will be expedited to benefit both residents and visitors.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Bandar Sri Pinang on Saturday (Jan 11), emphasised the importance of these projects in reshaping Penang and its surrounding areas.
The Prime Minister also shared his vision of transforming Penang into a state celebrated not only for its modernisation but also as a place where affordable living is a reality for its residents.
