A supermarket in the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk was struck on Friday morning. Denis Pushilin, head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, accused the Ukrainian army of firing U.S.-supplied HIMARS missiles into the area during the morning rush hour. Russian officials reported that the attack killed two civilians and wounded two others.
Dashcam footage captured the moment of impact, showing a powerful explosion followed by flames engulfing the area. Russian media stated that other nearby buildings and around 15 vehicles were damaged. Pushilin also claimed that a separate strike on an apartment building in Svitlodarsk killed one woman and injured four others.
