Wintry showers affect northern Scotland, giving further accumulations of snow, and a few wintry showers drifting into eastern coastal areas, Northern Ireland and Wales. Temperatures widely falling below freezing, and well below freezing where we have snow cover. Cloud increasing later across the far south west, with rain and hill snow.
