Will there be another lockdown in the state? Dr. Avinash Bhondwe shared information about HMPV virus ....... Pune : The Corona epidemic has caused havoc all over the world. The Corona virus had spread all over the world from China. Now the whole world's attention has once again turned to China. Because the new HMPV virus has now raised its head in China. Many people in China have been infected with the Human Metapneumovirus. Therefore, is the world on the verge of another epidemic after Corona? This fear has spread all over the world. In this regard, former President of the Indian Medical Association Dr. Avinash Bhondwe has appealed to people not to be afraid at all. So there is no question of lockdown in the state. Dr. Avinash Bhondwe said, "There has been a lot of discussion about the HMPV virus for the past few days and some people have become very scared. Corona was a new virus and no one knew anything about it. Due to this, a lockdown and a scary situation had been created. HMPV has quietly circulated among humans for at least 50 years, even though it was only formally identified in the respiratory secretions of children with Respiratory Tract Infections (RTIs) by Dutch scientists in the early 2000. So this virus is so common that since then, many outbreaks have occurred in many countries in the last 70 years and it has never been an epidemic." HMVP is a common virus and not a single patient infected with this virus has been found in the Thane Municipal Corporation area, informed Dr. Chetna Chaudhary, Municipal Health Department Officer. Against this backdrop, Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao has directed the Municipal Corporation's health system to be alert. As a precautionary measure, the Municipal Health Department is ready with a 15-bed isolation ward at Kalwa Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital and sufficient stock of essential medicines, said Dr. Chetna Chaudhary.
