The driver of the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded outside Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel on New Year’s Day has been identified as Matthew Livelsberger, according to media reports. Livelsberger is a 37-year-old Army veteran from Colorado Springs. Authorities are investigating the explosion as a potential act of terror but have not determined a motive. Livelsberger reportedly rented the Cybertruck through Turo in Colorado. Sources indicated he served at the same military base as Shamsud Din Jabbar, who carried out a deadly New Year’s Eve truck attack in New Orleans. Fireworks mortars and camp fuel canisters were found in the truck, and video footage of the explosion showed intense blasts and smoke. FBI agents seek a search warrant for a Colorado residence linked to Livelsberger.
