'Peace is the best medicine,' WHO's Tedros says in New Year message
World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday, December 30, released a New Year video message, in which he focused on peace and health security in areas of conflict.
Recounting a near-miss ordeal during Israeli strikes on Yemen's Sanaa International Airport on December 26, the WHO Director-General said the attack demonstrated the threat faced by humanitarian workers in war zones throughout the world.
"This must stop", he said in the pre-recorded message.
