The 22.1km Tianshan Shengli Tunnel, completed Monday in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is the world's longest expressway tunnel.
Four years in the making, it will reduce the crossing time of the Tianshan Mountains from three hours to 20 minutes.
