NASA: Parker Solar Probe 'Safe' After Historic Sun Approach

NASA has confirmed that the Parker Solar Probe is "safe" after becoming the closest human-made object to the Sun, flying within 6.1 million kilometers of its surface and enduring temperatures up to 982 degrees Celsius.
